Browse Around Books is a bricks and mortar Book Shop situated proudly in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Shop Open: Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm. (Shop closes for Public Holidays )

The business has existed for many years in Invercargill, the southern most city in New Zealand. The present owners Brian and Maree took over the business in 2007 and after a year moved  from the existing small shop in Dee Street Invercargill to the present premises on Yarrow Street in the suburb of Sylvan Bank. The new shop is approximately twice the size of the old one and allowed for more books to be displayed with a brighter layout. The new premises also offer the possibility of expansion in the future.

With the change of buildings- came a change in the business model for Browse Around Books. The original 'Book Exchange' concept has been tapered off and an emphasis on offering top quality reasonable priced pre-owned books is now our business aim. An extensive range of  books covering Local and New Zealand history, Arts and craft books, Technical books, Classic Literature, Autobiographies and Biographies, True Stories and Adventure Books, Military and Warfare books, selected 'Brand New' Books, and all the way through to 'still in print' fictions.

Browse Around Books also offer a - Book Finder service. Where titles of both old and new can be sourced for customers hunting down that elusive copy. So if you are seeking a book please drop in or contact us with as many details as possible and we will work on the options available. (a deposit maybe required for this service at the time of placing an order).
