Feed Budgeting
Description
Feed Budgeting. This publication updates and replaces the 1973 publication and was compiled by K. E. Milligan and G. R. McConnell. From the Information Service, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries New Zealand. A feed budget is a management tool that can help farmers relate feed required for a specific productive purpose to feed available. An early appreciation of the feed position will facilitate sound management decisions. Feed budgets can be used in many intensive situations. These include - Dairy farms, where a budget will aid the planning of adequate feed over the dry and early lactation period and the establishment of optimal rotation lengths. This small booklet has medium wear and some small tears on the covers. There are some pen notes and calculations on the early pages but the book remains tidy and informative.
