A Traveller In Southern Italy
Description
A Traveller In Southern Italy by H. V. Morton. 'A Traveller in Southern Italy is the account of H. V. Morton's journey through the five southern regions of Italy. The journey was made possible by the southward extension of the great highway, the Autostrada del Sole, from Naples to Reggio di Calabria, opening up a comparatively unknown region of Italy. H. V. Morton journeyed through the mountains of Abruzzi to the crusading towns of Apulia with their Norman cathedrals and castles; he went south to the 'heel' and 'toe' of Italy with its memories of Magna Graecia; and he explored the still undeveloped rivieras of the Tyrrhenian and Ionian coastlines. The book has light to medium general wear with creasing on the covers and light staining down the page edges. The bing remains tight and pages bright.
