Southern Journey. Southern New Zealand. Photography by Sonya Crook with Foreword by John Kelk. An early fascination with photography developed while on a family holiday in Central Otago. The family camera in the hands of a 10 year old can only mean one thing - no pocket money for weeks. Not only was the entire film exposed in a matter of an hour (in those days one film usually recorded two Christmas's) the temptation of a U-Drive in her mum's Mini was also irresistible. Both camera and car escaped injury. In 1991 a career change seen the beginning of Sonya's professional photography career and with the helping hand of husband Ian, Profile Photographics was established. Publishing a book of photographic images had long been a dream and in December 1998 with the encouragement and support of two friends the dream became a reality. 'Southern Journey' is a collection of images which portray the regions most valuable assets, its people and the dramatic landscape in which they have chosen to live, work and play. The book remains in a very tight, bright and tidy condition. A VERY LARGE BOOK THAT WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FREIGHT.
