Description

Ski-Plane Adventure. Flying in the New Zealand Alps by Harry Wigley. 'Harry Wigley was the elder son of Rudolph Wigley, who pioneered motor transport to the Hermitage, Mount Cook, designed an before-its-time tractor, and took to active flying at an age when most men were thinking of retirement. Harry Wigley greatly admired " the old man" and followed his example of vigorous and unorthodox pioneering. He was educated at Christ's College and in the cockpits of a variety of small and temperamental early aeroplanes, this book tells the story of his flying life. Some tape repair and creasing to the dust jacket and the title page has been removed but the book remains in a tidy condition.
